Paradise Bluff is a beautiful home perched on the cliffs of the small seaside town of Laupahoehoe. Relax, take a deep breath, and enjoy the Aloha spirit and traditions of the Big Island of Hawaii. Located on the spectacular Hamakua Coast between Hilo and Waimea, Paradise Bluff spans 288 ft. of coastline and overlooks historical Laupahoehoe Point. The sweeping 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, tropical gardens, and private decks all combine to make a uniquely-breathtaking retreat. You may use this awesome home as a convenient jumping-off point to many of the famous Big Island sites, or you may simply choose to escape from it all, relax on the lanais, and enjoy the exotic birds, crashing blue surf, swaying palm trees, and rainbow-colored geckos. Paradise Bluff is a destination in itself.
Paradise Bluff features a luxurious top floor Master suite, complete with a king sized bed, wall-mounted flat screen TV, large walk-in shower (with two shower heads), elegant ”spa-like” bathroom, coffee station and fridge, private deck, and an oversized dressing room. The bedroom's vaulted ceilings and ceiling fan help circulate the ocean breezes. The huge sun deck allows for private sunbathing with spectacular views of Laupahoehoe Point in the distance. A unique spiral staircase connects the top floor with the main floor.
The spacious main floor has a newly-remodeled kitchen with island bar, separate dining room, large living room, utility/laundry room, and two more bedrooms with king sized beds, flat screen TV's and beautiful en-suite bathrooms with showers. The large dining room has a vaulted ceiling and a solid mango table that seats six.
Two more decks (one covered and one sun deck) are located off the living room. The covered wrap-around deck has an elegant teak dining table for six. Step down to the smaller lower deck to find the Weber gas grill and a chaise lounge for sun-bathing. All the decks are newly tiled and overlook the water; it really feels like you’re living in the Presidential Suite on the forward bow of a cruise ship – without the crowds and buffets!
Laupahoehoe is a small town with its roots in the sugar-industry. Today, it has a beautiful beach park, post-office, police station, one restaurant, Train Museum, and a fantastic open-air eight-lane public swimming pool (with lifeguard) that is free to the public. Just a few minutes away is the recently-renovated 100 year old Papaaloa Country Store and Café with its a fabulous bakery, sandwiches, and burgers, along with a wide selection of groceries and fresh produce.
About 20 minutes’ drive north is Honokaa Town, the gateway to famed Waipio Valley. Honokaa has several good shops and restaurants and a wonderful FirstFriday art and shop walk the first Friday of every month. Hilo, 35 minutes to the south and Waimea, 45 minutes to the northwest, both provide a variety of restaurants, shops, nightlife and unique local attractions like zip-lining, botanical gardens, and farmer's markets. One hour west of Paradise Bluff is the famous Hapuna Beach and several world-class beach resorts with great golf courses.

The pictures don't do this property justice. It is extremely clean and you cannot beat the views. We were never wanting for anything. There is snorkeling equipment, games, lawn chairs, coolers, really anything you need as well as a well stocked kitchen. The only thing I would mention is that one of the bedrooms doesn't have AC so you do hear the frogs at night, so if you think the noise will bother you bring a white noise machine.

This was our third stay in 6 years in this majestic house. House, views, property, fruit trees - everything in this place is dreamy. The house was stocked with starter supplies of trash bags, paper towels, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, etc. A Country store about a mile away has all essentials, groceries and delicious fresh food. The house is 30 min from Hilo, 1 hr from Hapuna beach. Highly recommend freshly made fried chicken at a gas station down the road. The gas station has a water refill station, which was a huge cost saver for us.

The house is charming, clean and well cared for, we didn't encounter any bugs (I mean a couple, but none of the big scary ones), bathrooms clean and functional, the kitchen well outfitted for cooking anything. The view is the most beautiful I have ever encountered, in house, hotel, or AirBnB, and there are plenty of balconies and a gorgeous lanai and a lush and beautiful garden to enjoy it from. Also, the owner does not have a surprise list of onerous chores to do at the end, just reasonable requests. Clear instructions. An easy to navigate one-story set of stairs to enter the house. Each bedroom suite has a big comfortable bed and separate bathroom. Big dining room. Huge laundry room. Everything was perfect.

Loved our stay with our young adult family. Large home and well appointed. Just make sure you take food as there really is only 1 small store a minute drive away

We spent five days at Paradise Bluff with our daughter and son in law and thoroughly enjoyed it. The views were top notch from virtually every part of the house which is what first attracted me to it when booking. Plan on using the kitchen as the restaurant scene nearby is limited. If you want crowds and tourists go to Kona instead.

We (4 adults) enjoyed Paradise Bluff after 7 days in Maui. Communication with the Saltwater team was excellent. The property is beautiful and peaceful with breathtaking ocean views. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of space to gather, be alone, work if needed or prepare a meal (Tried the Huli Huli chicken recipe in the book - great!). We toured a coffee farm, chocolate farm, Akaka Falls, Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, Laupahoehoe Point, Waipio Valley, snorkeling, Pu'uhonua o Honaunau Historic Park and had a great meal at Jackie Reys in Hilo. Wonderful vacation! We hope to visit Paradise Bluff again. Mahalo

The house was fantastic. Well appointed and the views were unbeatable. We saw pods of humpback whales from the lanais. The house was very clean and the kitchen well equipped. My wife and I stayed in the master bedroom which is on the top floor of the house. The views were spectacular

Our family of five stayed 5 days at this house. The views are amazing. The house was clean and oriented to be protected from the sun but maximizing the views. The master bedroom views are incredible and we even had night views with a full moon (!).
We spent our time doing activities from Hilo north (hiking, zip lining, helicopter from Hilo) and 2 days doing activities on the Hilo side.
Overall very satisfied with our stay.

The house was very comfortable and well equipped. The views are out of this world. We had double rainbows below the home twice. The upstairs office was great place to work. Well equipped kitchen with quality utensils and a rice cooker!! Saltwater Management was extremely responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Paradise Bluff was perfect. The place was very clean and a perfect place for our vacation. If I had any complaint, it would be that the air conditioners may not be enough to keep the place nice and cool - especially in the back bedroom where there is no AC unit. Not enough to drop any stars.

This is a beautiful home in an amazing location with a fabulous view. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the entire home was very very clean. Highly recommend going to beach park pictured at the point. The price was very reasonable especially by Hawaiian standards.

This time, on top of perfection, we were greeted by a stunningly renovated kitchen with top of the line appliances. We chose to cook at home most of the time. How could we not? The beautiful range was so inviting :)
This is an amazing home in an amazing location. A small grocery shop/restaurant nearby provided for excellent meals and all necessities. Location is in-between fabulous shopping/farmers market in Hilo and knock out Hapuna beach on the West side. We so didn't want to leave!

I recently visited the big island with my family and this property was perfect for our group of 6. It was about a 30 minute drive to Hilo if you’re looking for dining options, but otherwise it was situated in a quiet area where you can get in all of your rest and relaxation. The sunrise views were unbeatable and the property had everything our family needed. We miss it already!

Beautiful views! We saw whales! The house was beautifully furnished with all the amenities and everything was in good working order. We even left some earrings and were notified immediately so we could return and pick them up. Our only complaint is the beds were a little hard and uncomfortable, but that wouldn’t stop us from coming back.

We are frequent visitors (6 times in 2019) and have rented many houses along the coast. This was our favorite because of the great views and the many ameneties of the house.

We had an amazing time at this home. In the past we've stayed at condos and usually choose the penthouse. To have this beautiful house all to ourselves with the incredible views was priceless. Communication was excellent with the Host! We had a minor issue and it was handled ASAP. Highly recommend this house! Some days we preferred to stay home vs explore the island as our views were superb.
