Welcome to Hilo Lagoon Centre 602, our serene end-unit condo. Hilo Lagoon Centre is a noteworthy mid-century modern building in downtown Hilo. Condo 602 is on the end of the building and boasts the very best views! This condo has two bedrooms, each with an en-suite full bathroom. The main bedroom has a king sized platform bed, and small desk. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a large en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Both bathrooms have a vanity sink, toilet, and a shower-bathtub combo.
The fully stocked kitchen is in the middle of the unit between the bedrooms, ensuring privacy. Cook locally found foods or reheat your fabulous restaurant leftovers. The kitchen has 4 bar stools for casual dining and many small appliances including a microwave, 12-cup drip coffee maker and toaster oven. In the living room is a flat screen internet TV for streaming your own shows and free WiFi. Relax on our buttery leather sofa with cozy throws. Every floor at the Hilo Lagoon Centre has a convenient laundry room with coin operated machines for your use. Enjoy the incredible garden, lagoon and ocean vistas from three balconies. You may even spot local wildlife Nene goose or ducks!
Hilo, Hawaii is the best kept secret town in our famed state. In the condo we provide you with a binder full of suggestions for activities, restaurants, tours and more to inspire your vacation. Looking to tour a chocolate farm, or hug cows, or view planetary wonders, or taste a myriad of tropical delights? Hilo has you covered! Not to mention, Hilo is a short drive to Volcanoes National Park where you may see the birth of earth itself when active lava flows are present. Be prepared to be awe inspired!

The unit is very white—white ceiling, white walls, white floor. During the day, sunlight illuminates the rooms nicely, but after that time of the day the only lighting is from very bright overhead lights, with the exception of bathrooms and kitchen. These ceiling lights are blinding. I neglected to notice in the pictures that there are no table or floor lamps in the unit. In the description of the place, the icons indicated both bathrooms had showers and toilet. However, in the discussion it mentions tub/showers, not walk-in like I wanted. The porcelain in the tubs and bathroom sinks are very chipped, which makes me wonder what was “New” about the listing. The kitchen is very small. Loading the dishwasher from the sink is awkward. If the refrigerator door is open, no one can pass by. I didn’t notice that the unit does not have a range hood over the stove. The bar is the only place to eat using uncomfortable stools.

Overall the Hilo Lagoon Center was a great place to stay and worked well as a hub for our vacation. The place could use some lamps and the remotes did not work with the tv even for streaming (perhaps the batteries were dead?) which didnt matter that much as we were not there to watch TV. Was a very nice and quite place to stay.

Great location regarding proximity to area attractions. Very clean. Stunning view of the park and ponds. An electrical issue in the complex caused a power and elevator outage. I am disabled and walking 6 flights of stairs was not easy for me. There was also an event at the park with loud music for 10 hours, as well loud motorbikes.

My family of 3 enjoyed our stay. The layout was great, the views were incredible and we loved the proximity to both beach and park. The elevators were a little sketchy, the bathrooms were a little dated/worn and the little tiny bugs were kind of a nuisance. We were able to get around town very easily, and made it to: Kilauea, Panaewa Zoo, Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls and Kaumana Caves. Communication with the resort contact was quick and easy. Overall we had a wonderful time.

This condo is in a great location that is close to everything in downtown Hilo. It has wonderful views overlooking a park and was perfectly clean. Checkin was an easy experience and we were very happy overall.

excellent location, very clean. would like better lighting, such as table lamps in BR and living. the bright top lights are great , but not when watching tv or wanting to read. also would suggest 2 deck chairs for additional seats, in and out, for any extra guests...overall very nice

I've stayed at the Hilo Lagoon Centre a few times when coming to Hilo for work trips. It is in a great location in downtown Hilo. This condo unit, 602 has the best corner views of any unit I've stayed in before. I loved watching the lagoons below and felt very peaceful here. The beds are firm and comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked. This condo gives a very easygoing vibe and a place to rest and relax.

Awesome views! Beautiful condo. Comfortable beds and living room furniture. The bathroom sinks and tubs need refinishing - scratches and pits in the enamel are unappealing. Should leave more trash bags in the kitchen.
